Out of 10 lakh difference, 5 lakh will be easily gone in rent and other expenses at Bangalore per year. (Easily for 2 BHK)

Out of remaining 5 lakh, 2.5-3 lakh gone in Income tax.

Out of remaining 2-2.5 lakh, your Kolkata to Bangalore visits during festivals (atleast 2 times) so 1 lakh is gone there.

So the actual difference in salary is - 1-2 lakh instead of 10 lakh.
For 1-2 lakh extra net income, you want to leave Kolkata? Choice is yours

The infrastructure is of no comparison. Kolkata is a shithole by Indian standards.

Also, high TC leads to higher TC.

Okay there's something people don't understand. You can't jump to 50 LPA from 25. You need to go to the 30-35 range first

I presume you don't have to pay rent in Kolkata, then it's no brainer

If you prefer comfort, family support, and savings, hometown (Kolkata) is better. But if your main goal is professional growth, networking, and future opportunities, Bangalore gives you that edge.
