2025 is the year I stop waiting for the right opportunity and start creating it myself

Looking ahead to 2025, I have one absolute, laser-focused goal: I’m going to switch jobs and double my salary by July - no ifs, no buts. I’ve been in the industry for a while now, learning, building, and growing as a software engineer. But this year, I’m making a clear stand: I refuse to settle for anything less than what I’m truly worth.

Over the next six months, I’ll be doing whatever it takes - learning cutting-edge tools, deepening my expertise in AI and cloud technologies, and aggressively networking with leaders in my field. I’m ready to take on new challenges, pivot my career if necessary, and demonstrate the value I bring to the table.

This isn’t just a random New Year’s resolution. It’s a commitment to myself - to push beyond my comfort zone, adopt a growth mindset, and secure a future that rewards the hard work I put in every day. And yes, it might mean stepping out of my day-to-day routine, but I’m all in.

If you’ve been on a similar journey or have any tips for me - particularly around negotiating salaries, mapping a strong career trajectory, or picking the right companies - I’d love your inputs.
