2024 resolution. BigID n OneTrust raking in moolahs
I work in the Data Privacy and protection domain. You won't believe me if I said we are spending $M on BigId and OneTrust apps (including infra cost for on prem).
As an SME and power user of these apps I can tell you they are spreadsheets with CTA buttons that calls some APIs. Their AI, ML posturing are all marketing gimmicks. Doesn't work well.
Since they costs $$$ many privacy pros are asking for cheaper alternatives which not many seems to be available.
My ambition is to build a SaaS company that offers privacy app suite that is affordable and works much better.
My action plan:
-
Complete FIP (fellowship in Privacy from Iapp) n become an influencer. Am already networking with privacy pros.
-
I am learning Bubble development now
I know 1 is tough and 2 nd may be even tougher.. but this is my 2024 goals. I may fail but I need to give it a try
To build a SaaS business in a niche domain, what would you recommend I do? How would you do it.
One interview, 1000+ job opportunities
Take a 10-min AI interview to qualify for numerous real jobs auto-matched to your profile 🔑I'd like to know about the features you plan to build. Is money the only factor that sets it apart, or are there other benefits for users?
Not only money.
BigId n OT has become an engineer's tool rather than Business user's.
After spending $100k+ company needs to hire engineers again to implement.
My idea is to keep it for privacy business users and decouple all engg parts to products/service teams
Bro I work in onetrust! You got good idea there but the thing is how will you do it? And how long it’ll take? This company evolved from 8 years. And more stable. But how r u planning to build such product with less money!! There’s an announcement from microsoft recently to bring a competitor for this lol. Its called Imperva. Check it out!! I agree that will be costlier too
