
20% deduction...WTF
My colleague who recently joined our team was made a bakra with D band. Looks like the previous project's contract got terminated. Most of the team got C and he was awarded D. Who is at fault here ? I mean which level of management is to be blamed ? C1 grade associates might not even be aware of the objective of the deliverables. If someone would want to rejoin TCS, the company is leaving no stone unturned to make them feel otherwise. Not sure who is making these foolish and childish calls, this is purely taking advantage of the economic situation. Hope, the person who made this decision and saved millions is compensated generously, someone should be happy at least. Again, WTF

Why no resignation happening even after so much ..
Better way is just stop working till in TCS and get Salary..in parallel learn abd get better job

Resignation is not always the solution. The flaws should be acknowledged and there should be sanity in the method. 4.3 IPF and D tells that something is not right and it was an impulsive decision.

Whenever anyone got D band then yes his grade decreased to previous grade. Like if someone is C2 so revised to C1 and 2 to 4 percent salary decrease.
People here had posted 14 to 20 percent... I can't imagine if anyone is getting that much in their annual salary hike. A normal A band person can also get 7 % max. So please give only true info.

20% is true. This person was a lateral hire. The % might depend then if he is an existing employee or a lateral hire maybe.

And who gave you this info that grade is decreased. It’s nothing like that. Grade remains same. Your monthly and quarterly variable will be completely removed from your ctc incl case of a D band

Same here… one of my friend newly joined and got a C band for no reason. Asked for justification and the manager threatening of band degradation to D…
Nowadays people are not realising they are also employees of TCS and this same tricks will be played to them as well.

Now a days D band is actually used by management as a weapon. Many associates are getting impacted. One of the colleague when got C band and asked for release, Manager is telling for band degradation to D.

Same situation with my friend. His project got changed and being an employee of the quarter he got D band . His compansation got reduced by 12%
