1bhk vs pg [ need urgent advice ]
Hi all as the title suggests , I am confused a lot between whether I should continue my stay at pg or shift to flat which I was hoping from long time . So here's the deal :
Currently staying in pg : 20k (includes food, washing and other utils but all are shareable with others , very near to office walkable distance )
cons of pg : Bad food ( expected ) , very noisy area , only one single room , very small bathroom, only one window for ventilation , can't do much here .
Flat : 22k rent (full furnish (doesn't include tv :-( )) 3 mo + (10k) deposit and 1 mo brokerage . The deposit here is the main issue I believe its too high , because my flat is in standalone apartment and I can't call it a flat , its actually between a flat and pg , because kitchen is a very small section with a slab .
cons : Have to manage everything by self including groc , cooking ,cleaning (even though I will be only one person ) but I am not sure how long and how much time I would be wasting .
pros: I have almost everything in flat ( gas stove , R.O , refrigerator and washing machine .. ) but I am not sure how much I will save with all of this .
So the thing is I hv recently shifted to Bangalore , as I mentioned its just two months in my pg . Now my org has started giving me a lot of work to the extent I have clock out sometimes 10-7 in meetings or works and then in night also . Now even though I wanted to shift to flat I am getting second thoughts whether I should go now or not . Considering the demanding nature of work is it worth it ?
Now I know many of u will suggest get a cook , order groc from blinkit and so on . But please understand my intention to move into flat was to save time and outside food expense . but unfortunately I can't see myself saving anyone of it since this week .
Unfortunately I have already paid my token amt and hv to finalize my decision today . Can you all please help!!
One interview, 1000+ job opportunities
Take a 10-min AI interview to qualify for numerous real jobs auto-matched to your profile 🔑Is better to stay in PG unless and until you will have food all three times per day in office. Also there is not much difference even if u stay in flat or PG. initially flat will be good but u need to cook on weekends which is difficult. The drawback here is u won’t be having much privacy in PG even though it is single sharing. U can move to flat if the rent is only half of the amount of PG so that u can save some amount.
What bout 1 room in a 3bhk with roommates?
Would costs come down? And responsibilities get shared , would have maid + cook
Ah, I am too in same situation. Paying 20K for pg and couldn't decide if I have to shift to flat or not. Btw, can I ask in which area you got the 1bhk
1 bhk is much better provided you have the money to rent a tv, get a Wi-Fi connection and other stuff that you may need. Staying your TC would be helpful.
Take the 1bhk
Hv asked same in reddit but I am sure grapevine is more active then reddit 😅
