16th Anniversary of my Dad’s murder

I was 8, my parents were farmers in a village some distance away from Kaithal, Haryana.

Sixteen years ago today, he was brutally attacked on his way home from the market. The details are still painful to recall, but the attackers were people with old grievances against him. Despite the local authorities' efforts, the case went cold, and justice was never served.

Our family was torn apart, and we had to leave our village and start anew. In the midst of this chaos, my maternal uncle (Mama) stepped in to support us. He was a pillar of strength for my mom and me. He not only helped us financially but also ensured that I received an education.

After 16 years, I have become Financially Independent this year. Happy that I have made it to a big MNC like Deloitte and sent back money to support my mom.

Going to go only upwards from here!

Something should be done about giving your father the justice he still seeks. All these achievements are moot without giving his killers what they deserve.

@BoogieMan Been long since we have moved on. I want to focus on building a happy life than a vengeful one.

@OfficialInk0 In coming time of course, He has been the one supporting my mother & I. I have come to the point where I can work out expenses for my mom and I. That is a burden relieved from him.

In the coming years plan to give back to him as well.

Good thing you shared it here. Sometimes it helps to unload such memories and will relieve you to some extent doing so.

Sorry to hear this. However, in India justice is still on paper and Crime Patrol.
