16+ in corporate, should I retire?

I am a 16+ yrs experienced female employee, working as a Delivery Manager. For the last few years I am not at all finding any motivation, any satisfaction from my work. I used to be a technical person, but because of lesser and lesser work satisfaction I switched my career path, thinking it might bring back my motivation. But don't help. I gave it a deep thought, and realised, I am not finding any happiness in the corporate itself, no matter what my career path is. I stay so sad always just thinking about the office, it gives me anxiety every night. I have drafted my resignation mail thrice, once I sent as well, but immediately recalled. I am a single female, with no backup support from anyone, having responsibility for aged parents. Thinking about my situation only I am just dragging myself into this job for the last few years. But recently it has become unbearable. Requesting advice from my peers. Thank you.

Don't resign. I am 25+ exp person. I had worked in technical role, program mgr role. For last decade again working in technical role as independent contributor. But after certain experience level the situation which you are going through is kind of common. Instead of quitting at this stage, first accumulate corpus for retirement. Target 1.5 CR to 2 CR minimum. Pro Tip : increase your VPF to slightly less than 2.5 lakh per year% . Remaining ammount from monthly basic, invest in any Nifty-50 index mutual fund (direct and Growth option).

Small correction. Increase your EPF + VPF slightly less than 2.5 lakhs per year

Don't quit, TCS has sabbatical leave option, if you want you can go for it, 1year LOP leave. But at least your job will be secure. In that 1year span you will definitely get to know the reality of having job makes us independent and financially stable. And your mind as well become fresh. And you can restart again with new enthusiasm after 1 year.

You can setup small business… don’t hesitate if you are having a tea counter on road side (you can hire someone to stay there) …. Financial problems will be resolved at least… but this needs courage
