Can I take a 1-year career break? And how will it impact my career if I start looking for a job after one year?
I want to take this break to upskill myself and run a business in parallel. It's difficult to manage both while doing a full-time job

If you are F, would suggest that you break. At risk of sounding as misogynist.
It's much easier for you to justify.
Marriage planned, caregiver for parents, etc.
Just make sure you are aligned on Money part, ie savings to tide you over more than a year.
