Gonna go with 2, I mean a giraffe in a bowtie deserves to breathe.

Why choke that long neck when you can keep it classy and comfortable?

As an engineer, I believe the solution is to scale the bowtie to the size of the neck. Scaling either with more instances of the bowtie or a huge bowtie is up to the designer.

Bowtie size is wrong . Bowtie should not show your throat .

Gotta say 2. The collar is always at the bottom of your neck, so going by that reasoning, the giraffe would wear a bowtie at the bottom of its neck too.
