That number looked like a spam number so I ignored. Truecaller later showed it was a Google Recruitment. I called back, it was an automated voice asking to leave my name and phone number. Waited for couple of days, they didn't reach back...

Even when you deny SMS permission, apps like Truecaller can still read messages. They use workarounds or get data from other apps. How do they do it?
