If you thought Fabindia is the only place for good Indian wear, think again- Cottons is fast gaining as many favourites as Fabindia, if not more. They revolutionized the "patiala" salwars making them ever so prominent and visible on the streets of Delhi with Fabindia following suit and adding more of these special salwars to their shelves. While they have salwars, churidars and kurtas, they also stock skirts, trousers, shirts, tank tops and other such things. They have the nicest dupattas ever! While the designs are Indian and often sprinkled with lots of sequins, they manage to make the clothes attractive without making them flashy and over-the-top with all the sequin-work. I would definitely suggest going here to pick up a nice little something for a semi-formal occasion because Cottons manages to blend style and aesthetics with what many call a "dressy" look required especially for evening wear. For someone who doesn't quite favour glitzy, shiny clothes, I think Cottons suits me to a T with the clothes being just the required amount of "dressy" without looking gaudy. So, when you're on your way to Fabindia next, reconsider and make your way to Cottons for good quality and beautiful clothes!
