About Grapevine
For a long time, we've been frustrated by the lack of information in India
about a whole variety of things, such as schools, products, service providers and so on.
Every day, each of us has to make important decisions in the absence of helpful information.
The grapevine is our little project to change that.
Each of us has information that is potentially very, very helpful to others.
The grapevine is simply a platform for us to speak up and share that knowledge in a single place.
If we all help to build the grapevine, we'll all stand to benefit
when we seek truthful information to help us make important decisions:
where to go and stay on holiday, where to send our kids to school, where to live, what type of products to buy, etc.
We have deliberately avoided structuring or restricting the scope of the grapevine as a
review-only site or as a site for a specified list of categories, because the grapevine doesn't belong to us.
The responsibility of ownership lies with you, our user community, and it's us all
who must evolve it, nurture it and protect it.
Our only request is that you treat the grapevine as your own and help us ensure that it becomes a respected source of unbiased,
truthful information that will help our community make better decisions.
We don't have a boat load of venture money and an army of people who can check everything you write.
So please respect the community and stick to our posting guidelines.
We live for the day when one of us can say "I heard it on the grapevine".
